Vincent D. Schultz Jr. 45, born October 26, 1980 passed away on April 29, 2026, leaving behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Vince was a kind and gentle soul who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He had a big heart, a contagious smile, and a way of making those around him feel welcomed and loved. Whether he was spending quiet moments with his beloved dog, Molly, experimenting in the kitchen and proudly sharing photos of his latest creations, or chasing the thrill and excitement he loved so much, Vince embraced life with passion and enthusiasm. A gifted welder and natural builder, Vince had an incredible talent for creating things with his hands. His hardworking spirit, creativity, and determination were evident in everything he did. He took great pride in his work and found joy in turning ideas into something real and lasting. Above all else, Vince’s greatest love was his family. He was a devoted fiancé, a proud father, a loving son, and a caring brother. The love he gave so freely will remain a lasting gift to those fortunate enough to have known him. Vince is survived by his fiancée, Shelly Breymeyer; his cherished sons, Daniel Schultz, Christian Schultz, and Eric; his mother, Melody Hale-Brown; and his sisters, Amanda Head and Christina Hale-Schipiour. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Schultz Sr., whom he now joins in eternal rest. Vince will be remembered for his generous heart, his strong work ethic, his adventurous spirit, fun-loving, goofy personality and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Though his time here was far too short, the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Those who knew him understood the battles he faced and the strength it took to overcome them. It brings comfort to know that he is now finally at peace. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 1 pm until the memorial service at 4 pm at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. Cremation rites have been accorded.
