Mitchell R. Lecuyer

Mitchell R. Lecuyer, 32, of Kankakee, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 30, 2026. He was born February 24, 1994, in Kankakee the son of Robert P. and Susan R. (Caron) Lecuyer. Mitchell graduated from Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School and was an exterminator for River Valley Pest Management. On May 25, 2025, he married Emily E. Jennings at Small Memorial Park in Kankakee. Mitchell loved and adored her dearly. Mitch loved nothing more than making people laugh and being a clown. He was talented in many things and enjoyed music, woodworking (even building a beautiful garden), creative writing, and was an amazing poet. Mitchell was great at trivia and was full of random knowledge. He enjoyed dancing whenever he could and singing karaoke. Mitchell was also a collector… of many fun things... such as bugs... that he kept in the freezer… and clowns... that were kept in the bathroom... and an assortment of beautiful watches. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it was game nights or hanging out with his nieces, nephews, and godson. He was so proud of them all. He is survived by his soulmate and wife, Emily E. Jennings of Kankakee; his parents, Robert P. and Susan R. Lecuyer of Bourbonnais; brothers, Jacob C. (Emily Wilkins) Lecuyer of Bourbonnais and Austin J. (Breanna) Lecuyer of Colfax; nieces and nephews, Makayla, Makinley, Nash, Bennett, Dorothy, Lionel, and Lainey; godson, Asher; paternal grandmother, Kay Lecuyer of Bourbonnais; aunts and uncles, Chris (Kelly Winterroth)Lecuyer of Bourbonnais, Kathy (Carl) Cavitt of Manteno, Linda (David) Canada of Manteno, Jim (Sharon) Caron of Martinton; in laws, William and Lisa Fischer of Kankakee; brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Caleb (Tori) Jennings of Kankakee and Morgan Fischer of Kankakee; best friends, David (Kayla Smith) Harris, Dan (Andrea) Price, Nick (Mary Moyers) Roy, Bryan LaMore, Michala (Saunders) and Justin Hensley, Becca (Fishman) and Ethan Lance, & many more great friends; as well as loving furbabies, Dr. Banjo and Scout. Mitchell is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James E. Lecuyer and maternal grandparents, Lionel and Dolores Caron. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 3pm to 7pm at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee.
