Janet K. Wilson, 82, of Bourbonnais, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026. Janet was a devoted mother, grandmother, lifelong caregiver, and lover of all things, vibrant and joyful, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She brought light, laughter, and a touch of rock and roll spirit to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Born on June 15, 1943, with a natural gift for nurturing, Janet dedicated her life to caring for others. As an LPN, she tended to countless patients with compassion, steadiness, and a heart that never stopped giving. Her commitment to helping people was more than a career, it was the essence of who she was. Beyond her work, Janet cultivated beauty wherever she went. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place where flowers bloomed as brightly as her smile. She carried a playful spirit throughout her life, marked by her enduring love for Mickey Mouse. In her younger years, she embraced the thrill of live music, singing along at concerts to Bon Jovi, AC/DC, and Aerosmith with the same enthusiasm she brought to everything she loved. While music, Mickey Mouse, and her garden were things she loved, we cannot leave off the most memorable, Janet loved to bake and was known for her fudge and peanut brittle. Janet also treasured her time at Indiana Beach, where she stayed in the cozy cabins just a short walk from the boardwalk. Whether enjoying the rides, feeling the lake breeze, or simply being surrounded by family, those visits were among her happiest moments and created memories she held close to her heart. Above all, Janet’s greatest joy came from her grandchildren. They were her pride, her purpose, and the center of her world. Every hug, every story, and every shared moment was cherished deeply. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unwavering devotion — a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Janet is survived by her siblings, Jill Nanos of Bourbonnais, IL; Rosemary (George) Faber of Kankakee, IL; and Valerie (Dave) Nanos of Harrisburg, IL. She is also survived by her children, Kimberly Reiniche of Anna, IL; Jeffrey Reiniche of Watseka, IL; Brenda Reiniche of Kankakee, IL; Brian Reiniche of Bradley, IL; and Jason Davis of Bourbonnais, IL. Her nine grandchildren — Jason (Jenn) Reiniche of Kankakee, IL; Heather (Jeremy) Clyden of Milford, IL; Justin (Jessica) Clyden of Charlotte, NC; Amanda (Jon) Baker of MI; Nicole (Randall) Brandenburg of Kankakee, IL; Ashley O’Quinn of Kankakee, IL; Jodie (Byron) Cordova of Bourbonnais, IL; Jamie (Guy) Bonds of Limestone, IL; and Kayla Davis of Roanoke, VA — along with her many great grandchildren, cousins, and uncles, will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Janet is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Wilson; her son, Michael Reiniche; her brothers, Alan and Greg Nanos; and her parents, Virginia and George Nanos.
