Charlotte J. Wolter

Charlotte J. Wolter, 76, of Herscher, Illinois joined her husband in the loving arms of God on September 11, 2023. Charlotte was born on October 19, 1946 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. She was raised with her siblings Wayne and Faye in Grant Park, Illinois by Herman and Helen (Raetz) Bergmann. She married Wayne Wolter in Grant Park, IL on January 29, 1966. There was nothing that meant more to Charlotte than her loved ones. Together she and Wayne welcomed three children into their hearts and home including Todd, Trent, and Tricia and eventually 5 grandchildren. Charlotte was a devoted follower of her children and grandchildren’s sports and activities, and she enjoyed travelling to see her family all over the country, whenever she could. She enjoyed being a childcare provider and later in life was a unit secretary on 3 West at St. Mary’s Hospital. In addition to her work, Charlotte was an active part of her community. For Many years she was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran church as the Secretary for the Women’s Group and volunteered at Saint Mary’s Hospital. With a love for the arts, Charlotte enjoyed going to the symphony. At home she could be found watching The Hallmark Channel and enjoying a glass of red wine. Charlotte is survived by her sons Todd Wolter of Herscher, IL and Trent (Lorrie) Wolter of Chatfield, MN; daughter Tricia (Robb) Zoarski of Shell Lake, WI; Grandchildren: Justin (Tiffany) Wolter of Yuma, AZ, Ashley (Tyler) Lund, of Chatfield, MN, Bret (Parker Chatham) Wolter of Topton, NC, Tyler Wolter, of St. Charles, MN, and Taylor (Maxwell Denault) Wolter of Paris, TN; Great- grandchildren Victoria, Theodore, and great-grandson Lund due in November. Charlotte is also survived by her brother Wayne Bergmann and Faye (John Schmidt) Segert. Charlotte is preceded in death by her loving husband Wayne Wolter and parents Herman and Helen Bergmann. All of those she loved and touched deeply; please join us in celebrating her life Saturday morning, September 16, 2023 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bradley with visitation from 9 a.m. until the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
