Andrew "Porter" Waskosky

Andrew "Porter" Waskosky of Bourbonnais Age 44 joined his beloved sister on September 5, 2025 at Rush University Hospital Chicago, surrounded by family and in the loving arms of his wife Jeanette after a brief battle with cancer. Porter was born June 9, 1981 at St. Mary's Hospital Kankakee to Thomas and Lisa Latham Waskosky of Bourbonnais. Porter was a graduate of Bourbonnais grade schools and Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School, and was employed by Ultimate Rides Braidwood as a mechanic. He loved his job and his work family. Porter was also a dirt track racer at heart, competing several seasons in the Crown Vic class at Kankakee Speedway on Friday nights and racing go-carts at K3 Karting at the Kankakee Fairgrounds on Saturday nights. As team owner of 7X Motorsports he not only raced his own cart but also fielded the 187X driven by his brother- in- law Terry Noel and also the 7X electric cart driven by his daughter Joelle. Porter was a tough competitor and hard worker who spoke his mind and told it like it was but he had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. Always funny, always in motion Porter kept his family on their toes. Porter was of the Baptist faith. Porter is survived by his wife Jeanette, daughter Joelle, parents Tom and Lisa Waskosky all of Bourbonnais, maternal grandparents Porter and Brenda Latham of Bradley, maternal aunt Lori Latham of Bradley, cousin Riley Mayer and wife Emily and children Briggs, Eleanor, and Mack of Bourbonnais, and Lia Smeitanski of Chicago, brother in- law John Olson of Bradley, as well as uncles Alan Smeitanski of Bradley and Robert Mayer of Slidell LA, paternal uncles James and Julia Waskosky of Kankakee, Ken and Jody Waskosky of Illinois, and paternal aunt Theresa Reato and cousins Jayme and Neil Harvey of Florida, Kristy Logan, Michelle Seiller, Judie Versetto, and Michael Logan. Sister in law Ruby Noel and daughter Lainie, brother in- laws Terry Noel and son Charlie, brother in-law Nathan Neisewander and son Maxxon, nieces Hailey and Ciara Noel, and father in law Norman Neisewander. He is also survived by uncles and aunts John and Joyce Latham, Richard Latham, Karen Latham, Linda Hodges, and Ruth Domagalla, as well as many Latham cousins and close family friends Pam and Paul Fabbi, Sarah Foley, and Jamie Krause. He is also survived by his beloved dog Junior. Porter was preceded in death by his beloved sister Jennifer Olson, cousin PFC Zachary Mayer, cousin David Dixon, grandmother Marjorie Waskosky, mother in- law Elaine Hubbard, brother in- law John Noel, maternal great grandparents William and Ruth Latham and LaVerne Lampley, aunts and uncles William Jr and Mary Latham, Thomas Latham, Robert Latham, Pam Latham, Betty McClanahan, and Nancy Arsenau. Services will be held Friday September 12, 2025 at Jensen Funeral home Kankakee with visitation starting at 2pm and services at 6pm. The Rev. Hal Trovillion officiating.
