Wayne J. Oldenburger Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wayne John Oldenburger, 78 of Wilmington, IL passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee, IL He was born in Chicago, IL on May 12, 1942 and is the son of John Oldenburger and Sadie Van Eck Oldenburger. Wayne married his high school sweetheart the love of his life, Karen Rae Vandervelde, in Chicago on August 21, 1964. He was a truck driver and active member of the Teamsters Local 710. Wayne was a friend to BW. He loved collecting and working on antique cars. Wayne was a member of the Christian Life Assembly Church in Diamond, IL Wayne is survived by his wife, Karen Vanderveld Oldenburger, three sons; Bob and Eve Oldenburger of Chicago, IL, Mike Oldenburger of New Lenox, IL and Rick and Huong Oldenburger of North Aurora, IL. One sister and brother in law; Ruth and Arkie Koehl of Honolulu, Hawaii and two sister and brother in laws; Bill and Joan Grit of Michigan and Bob and Kathi Cooper of Michigan. Four grandchildren; Johnathen, Christian Cayla and Lizzie. Proceeding Mike in death are his parents, a brother and sister in law; John and Arlene Oldenburger and his father and mother in law; Bob and Catherine Vandeavelde.
