Tonya "Sam" L. Murray

Tonya "Sam" L. Murray, 64, of Bradley, passed away March 1, 2022, at her home with her loving wife, Lori Chavez, sister-in-law Elizabeth Alfaro, friend Amy Henion and her beloved fur babies Benjamin Buttons, Oliver Lincoln, Sadie Ann, and kitties. She was born June 21, 1957, in Flint MI., the daughter of Leo and Peggy (Farrar) Murray. Tonya is survived by her spouse Lori Chavez, who she married November 21, 2014 in Kankakee, two sisters; Teresa Murray of Flushing, MI. and Lori (Mark) Elasavich of Flushing, MI., three brothers; Dean (Joyce) Murray of Montrose, MI., Darren (Loretta) Murray of Sanford, FL, and Jeff (Maiyee) Murray of Monroe, GA., and many nieces and nephews from the Murray and Chavez family of IL., MI. and GA. She is preceded in death by her father. She retired from General Motors Buick City as an automotive painter. She was passionate about helping others; serving as an animal ambassador for Riverside Medical Center, KCTC, and BBCHS and was a member of the Sexy K-9’and Furever Aussome Wiggle Butts. Her love for life, her wife, her family, her friends, and her fur babies can still be felt by all who loved her. She will forever be missed. Please do not send flowers.
