Theresa Marie Papineau

August 10, 1935 - May 7, 2022

Theresa Marie (LaFlamme) Papineau, 86, of Bonfield passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 of a short illness. Theresa was born to Peter and Priscilla LaFlamme on August 10, 1935. On June 5, 1954 she married Robert E. Papineau, Sr. in Kankakee. Together they had six children, George and Jodi Papineau of Chebanse, Earl and Lois Papineau of Gardner, John and Shelly Papineau of Ocala, FL, Rex and Patti Papineau of Wilkenson, IN, Mary and Dallas Wheeler of Kankakee, Robert Jr. and Christine Papineau of Bonfield. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; maternal grandparents; 2 brothers, Edward and Thomas LaFlamme; 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great granddaughter. She enjoyed being outside and doing crossword puzzles. She loved her cat and butterflies. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren, she was their rock. She was feisty and had a great sense of humor. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 10:30am at St. Rose of Lima, Kankakee with burial immediately following at Bonfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Uplifted Care, founded as Kankakee Valley Hospice. Jensen Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
