Ronald E. Estridge

A MAN FROM THE BRONX I felt "The Love" from this guy the first time we met 30 years ago this year, it would take a novel maybe two, maybe three, to tell you everything about this man, so I will attempt to comprise as much as possible. I want to tell you a story of a man from the Bronx, arriving here in Chi Town 1974, ambitious and eager to start a new fresh Life, he took Chicago by storm, acclimated into the creative scene, was one of the first of three black salespeople at the State Street "Marshall Feilds" exclusive Lady's Designer Shoe Salon, where he worked for several years, but that wasn't all, in his spare time he created a charcuterie "The MS. Bossom Twattle", from the visual conception to the making of the costumes itself, and I would like to note this was way before Tyler Perry, Martin Lawrence, and Eddie Murphy, and was given the opportunity to present it to America on the hit shows "Puttin on the Hits", and the "The Gong Show", (some of you might remember those shows), and performed all over the Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee areas, Limelight Dance Club, Club La'Ray's, private events, birthday parties, high schools, hospitals, he even performed at a Nancy Regan "Just Say No" campaign event, and not to mention a fashion ICON. The greatest sense of humor, the koolest, funniest, down to earth realness, my prayer partner, confidant, and companion. I present to you Mr. Ronald Eugene Estridge. "Behind every good man there stands another". "It's not over until the fat lady sings". Ronald is survived by his beloved significant other, Milan McCarty of Kankakee; nieces and nephews, Madeline Estridge of Virginia, Lisa Estridge of Illinois, Lynn Estridge of Maryland, Larry Estridge of New York, Chico Estridge of NYC, and Wayne Wood of South Carolina; several great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of good friends. #agape love #a true living legend #pioneer #celebrate the one your with #Celebrate yourself #be your own best friend
