Pearl E. Doyle, 78, of Kankakee, passed away Nov. 21, 2018, at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee. She was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Kennett, Mo., the daughter of Emmett Lee Roper and Eva Edith Rittenberry Roper. Pearl married Ray Allen Doyle. Pearl was self-employed and the owner of Kountry Kut-Ups in Bradley. She loved doing all kinds of crafts and taking care of her three inside cats but also enjoyed taking care of cats living outside. She was an avid reader, a great cook and loved crocheting. Grandma Pearl loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Surviving are sons, Richard Allen Doyle, of Washington state, Kelly Ray Doyle, of Kankakee; brothers, Richard Roper, of Missouri, and Emmett (Linda) Roper, of Missouri; three grandchildren, Peri Doyle, Richard Allen Doyle II and Frankie Doyle; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Peyton; and fromer daughter-in-law, Tracy Doyle, of Kankakee, who Pearl always loved like a daughter; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sisters, Ella Rose and Frieda Barron; and two brothers, Joseph Jolly and Eddie Roper. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Prairie Dell Cemetery, located at the junction of 2550 and 2150 North Road, Watseka. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
