Nathan D. Witters

April 10, 1963 - February 15, 2018

Nathan Witters was born on April 10, 1963 and passed from this world on February 15, 2018. He was a hard-working and artistic individual with gifts for music, craft, and mechanics. He loved his guitars and was a gifted performer for those close to him. He was happiest when he was listening to his extensive music collection and creating or fixing something with his hands. He was adept both at working on complex machinery and at crafting beautiful wooden art. He was always ready for a party and enjoyed making people laugh with stories of his adventures. He was always taking care of those he loved and provided steady strength for those who leaned on him. Despite many challenges and setbacks in his life, Nate had found himself a place where he was valued and appreciated. He found happiness and a new love. He was preparing to settle in to his new life and career when he fell ill unexpectedly. He is gone too soon and his strong, caring, and capable presence will be missed by us all. He is preceded in death by his wife Cheri and his brother Micah. He is survived by his maternal grandmother Ethel Hogg, parents Glenn and Rebecca Witters, his brother Josh (Sharon) Witters, niece Lydia and nephew Alex, his sister Abbie (Steve) Roe, his new love Paige, his beloved cats, and by the many extended family and friends whose lives he has touched. Nate’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 5th, at the Potomac Community Center in Potomac, Il (next to Lola’s Bar & Grill on State St./US Rte 136) from noon until 4 p.m. Please join us in celebrating his life and sharing your many fond memories of him.
