Jason L. Blanchette Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jason Lee Blanchette, 41, of Bradley, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Riverside Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1981 at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee, the son of Gary L. And Cindy L. Blanchette. He attended elementary school at Robert Frost, Shabbona, Alan Shepard, and Bourbonnais Upper Grade. He graduated from Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School in 1999, where he played on the football team and played in the band, as well as the drum line. He attended Kankakee Community College and earned an Electrical Technology Certificate. He was also working towards a Solar Power Energy Certificate. Jason enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He loved art and music, attending concerts and painting his own works of art. He built his own battery powered bicycle and enjoyed taking rides on it. He was environmentally friendly and liked solar power energy. Jason had many friends and loved to spend time with them. He also liked classic cars and astrology. He is survived by his mother, Cindy Blanchette of Belleville, MI; his father, Gary Blanchette of Bradley; his siblings, Theresa Courter of Belleville, MI and Lonnie (Michelle) Blanchette of Lowell, IN; niece and nephews, Tyler (Lindsay Hill) Blanchette, Savannah (Tyler) Barlow, Caden Courter, Elliot Cubit, and Nate Cubit; great nieces and nephews, Eli, Lacey, Charlotte, and Cooper; aunts and uncles, Barbara (Marlin) Richards of IN, Mark (Sue) Aultman of KY, Linda (Gary) Gerschke of WI, Sherry (Mike) Mulligan of MT, and Bryan Blanchette of IL; as well as many cousins. Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Robert and Darlene Aultman; paternal grandparents, Hector and Doris Blanchette; a great niece, Audrey Barlow; an aunt, Cheryl Kirk; an uncle, Lenny Blanchette; and cousin, Trenton Anderson. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 1pm until the memorial service at 4pm at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
